The Global Internal Audit (GIA) Analyst will be a key member of the Experian GIA Professional Practices Methodology team, helping to ensure that consistent standards are maintained across the global team and producing key outputs for the function, including Board papers, audit reports and other documents for senior stakeholders.

Why this role is important to us

Global Internal Audit sits at the heart of Experian and works closely with several other functions and business units, so we are seeking someone with the ability to develop a good network of contacts and cross-functional working relationships. Communication with senior stakeholders is essential, and the Analyst should be comfortable dealing with a variety of people across Experian\'s global operations, as well as be able to work in a fast-moving environment with multiple deadlines, across different time zones. Whilst this position is offered in the UK, applicants should be aware that the job will also involve dealing with team members in the USA, Brazil, and Costa Rica, so some flexibility may be needed.

Work that matters - What you\'ll be doing

  • Assisting in the preparation and issuing of final audit reports and papers for the Experian plc Audit Committee and regional Risk Management Committees
  • Organising team training events
  • Maintaining the departmental methodology and Quality Assurance programme
  • Identifying the key risks within the organisation and ensuring that our strategy is reflected in the output of all Board papers and reports for senior stakeholders
Qualifications

What you\'ll need to bring to the role & Experian
  • Internal Audit qualification / familiarity with IIA standards and Agile methodology / familiarity with basic audit function and methodology
  • Knowledge of second-line functions, e.g. Risk, Compliance, Information Security
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to see the big picture and interconnected processes, as well as understand the current risk landscape affecting FTSE 100 organisations today
  • Project management skills teamed with experience of using collaboration tools such as Teams, SharePoint, Confluence and Jira
  • Research skills and the ability to make subsequent improvement recommendations
More about you
  • BA degree in social sciences / humanities, with a strong command of the English language (grammar, punctuation, syntax, etc.) and a good level of technical / business writing experience, supported by experience of working in a multinational environment
  • Strong attention to detail, drafting skills and experience of preparation of Board (or similar level) papers
  • Collaborative and consultative approach, with the ability to engage in challenging conversations in a constructive way and to adapt to various situations
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including with senior stakeholders, and able to act as a communication hub for the global team
  • Ability to work independently and proactively and to multitask on a range of deliverables and competing priorities with multiple deadlines
