Then Merchant Monitoring is for you. Merchant Monitoring is an operational team focusing on mitigating risk imposed by merchants and to minimise the financial and reputational losses for Klarna. All decisions are made by analysing merchant behaviour in order to find anomalies which indicate suspicious activity. We aim to resolve any discrepancies together with our merchants, therefore strong communication skills are essential.

Currently we are looking to strengthen our team with another star. As part of the Merchant Monitoring team you will be working as a member of Business Operations and together with the rest of the team you will be analysing merchant behaviour and taking necessary action.

Main task include

  • Act on alarms and deviant merchant behaviour, such as detecting merchant fraud attempts, bankruptcies, operational issues and other potential cost drivers
  • Communicate externally with merchants via phone or email
  • Keep stakeholders informed across the organization
  • Work with improvements in terms of framework/ routines, tools and processes
Who you are:
  • Have a structured and organised way of working
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong capability to take on a holistic perspective and common sense
  • Have an eye for detail and a critical mindset
  • Not afraid of making decisions
  • You have some previous knowledge/experience of working with AML
  • You are a clear communicator on the phone and email on a B2B level
  • Your are fluent in English and also speak German (native/ C2 level)
