A top firm in Edinburgh is determined to hire an AML Assistant to join its Risk & Compliance team. Initially full-time office based however the firm does supports a hybrid working approach.

The Role
The firm is seeking an AML assistant to support the AML manager to ensure the firm complies with AML regulations:
Core duties are:
- Processing new client and new matter workflows
- Reviewing CDD/KYC information and supporting documentation
- Reviewing Matter Risk Assessments
- Identifying any outstanding information/documentation and communicating this to the relevant Fee Earner
- Setting up Amiqus (Online verification system) requests and reviewing this when they are submitted
- Responding to general AML queries
- Providing AML documentation for the firm\xe2\x80\x99s in-house trust companies and/or Partners
- Checking PEP/Sanction screening new matches
- Carrying out ongoing monitoring/file reviews of existing client relationships
- Reviewing and updating High Risk/PEP register
The Candidate
- Do you have 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience CDD/KYC in a legal or professional services environment?
- Do you have a ICA certificate?
- Do you take pride in producing high quality, accurate and timely information whilst maintaining personable and informative communication?
- The firm are seeking to bring somebody on that is a good team player, self \xe2\x80\x93 motivated, highly competent and able to work on their own initiative.
