Job Description
This is a superb opportunity to work with one of the countries leading healthcare providers. As an Ambulance Fleet Assistant you would be working as part of a team with the East of England Ambulance Trust in Epping.
This is a fixed term contract role with hourly rates starting at \xc2\xa311.45 per hour with enhanced rates for Saturdays and Sundays, up to \xc2\xa319.07.
The role is 37.5 hours a week, working 5 days in 7. Some weekend work is required. Flexibility is essential.
Role:
- Undertaking cleaning duties on the site (C1 license essential).
- To prepare emergency vehicles/ambulances using a structured plan and within time schedules.
- To maintain the serviceability of the vehicles, equipment and consumables.
- Liaise with internal departments including all Make Ready staff, Logistics Managers, Logistics Supervisors, Operations managers and Staff.
- Liaise with external service departments including vehicle recovery services, maintenance providers, tyre companies, windscreen providers, truck-wash suppliers, and estate contractors.
- Able to work effectively within a team environment and also autonomously
- Well organised and efficient
- Flexible
- C1 Licence with no more than 3 points (over 1 year)
- Able to work to time deadlines
- Knowledge and experience of stores management
- Knowledge of Ambulance service operations
