Overnight Parcel Department,

Newbury office

Swift Logistics Group, one of Newbury's largest employers and the largest independent courier company in the South of England, has, over recent years, coordinated significant growth of their Logistics Division's across the UK; we are currently looking for candidates that want to join a well- established and professional overnight parcel delivery company based at our offices in Newbury . You will be working for a very friendly and supportive company with many opportunities to progress within the business for the right candidate.

Job Summary:

The position will include, but not be exclusive to, the following duties,

Sorting deliveries on our system into routes for the drivers to come in and put the route in delivery order.

Helping with getting the parcel sort completed as early as possible to get the drivers out delivering, this may involve helping with the sort.

- completing effectively and efficiently all tasks and processes relating to the receipt of inbound Customer and Network consignments and to comply with all Swift and Network Policies and Protocols.

- effective and accurate sorting of all consignments to delivery routes ready for when the drivers come in, there will also be reports and other office based aspects that will be required.

- forklift experience would be an advantage.

-may be required to undertake customer collections/deliveries on occasion.

Candidate requirement:

The ideal candidate will need to work well under pressure, working within a very fast paced environment which is deadline driven Ability to multi-task Have a 'Can-Do' attitude and be willing to go the extra step to achieve customer satisfaction Must be a strong team player but also work well using their own initiative Good communication skills Accuracy and attention to detail is a must The candidate will ideally have experience in the parcel and logistic industry but this is not essential as full training will be provided Forklift experience.

Hours of Work

:

This is a shift position 03.00 am-13.00 Tuesday to Saturday - 10 hr day, 50hr week.
