Job Description

Up & Away Aviation Detailing serve the UK's private aircraft industry by offering a full range of interior and exterior valeting services, by a highly motivated professional team. We are looking for candidates to work at our Oxford Airport base carrying out valeting, detailing and restocking of private jets. This is a high-end detailing and cleaning position and would suit anyone with a passion for aviation and a high attention to detail.

Working within a dynamic airport, the role offers a sought-after 4 on 4 off shift pattern, working 11 hour shifts, times will vary so flexibility regarding the working hours is essential to cover the requirements of the operation. Previous experience in valeting or aviation would be beneficial, however this is not essential and full training will be provided. IPAF certification would be advantageous.

Aircraft detailers must be proactive and adaptable and willing to ensure the highest levels of standards are consistently met. You should be able to work with a team or individually to carry out a variety of tasks. Candidates must also be locally based to Stansted Airport.

Key Responsibilities:

Interior cleaning of all aspects of the aircraft Full exterior wash and polishing Brightwork, sanding and compounding Carpet, paint and leather protection (including Xzilon coating) Valeting company and customer vehicles Ensuring all equipment is stocked and maintained ready for use Must be comfortable working at height and within small spaces Ensure all customer specifications and requirements are adhered to Maintain a safe working environment at all times, especially when using equipment and PPE To contribute to a culture of engagement, involvement and continuous improvement Other duties as assigned

Key Requirements

A full manual driving licence recognised by the UK is required Ability to work under pressure to schedules and adapt quickly to suit customer needs Valid Passport/ID and right to work in the UK Proof of Address and National Insurance Number 5 years' check-able work history Receipt of a satisfactory standard disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service Must be willing to undergo relevant training as required Zero tolerance approach to health & safety non-compliance. Excellent communication skills. Strict confidentiality regarding VIP aircraft
