A well-established and professional agricultural business is seeking an experienced Agricultural Machinery Mechanic to join its support team, providing routine and emergency mechanical services across farms in the South of England. This hands-on role involves servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a broad range of agricultural machinery, with a particular focus on field support in West Sussex and Kent.
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing and maintaining tractors, balers, and a variety of agricultural machinery
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
- Conducting on-site and workshop-based repairs and planned maintenance
- Coordinating with farm operators to arrange visits and ensure minimal disruption
- Maintaining service records, including parts usage and labour
- Assisting with machine setup during seasonal peaks
- Ensuring all tasks are completed to a high safety and quality standardThe Company:

Ideal candidate profile:
- Experience servicing and repairing agricultural machinery
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or similar qualification (preferred)
- Confident diagnosing faults across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of balers is a strong advantage
- Able to work flexibly and travel across farm locations
