Summary



As an Afterschool Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety and well-being of children in a structured environment. This role requires strong communication skills and experience in childcare, particularly in early childhood education. You will lead activities, manage daily school runs, and ensure compliance with safety standards, including First Aid certification. Your ability to drive and supervise effectively will be essential in creating a nurturing atmosphere that fosters learning and development. Responsibilities



Supervise and engage with children in afterschool activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Plan and implement educational and recreational programs that promote early childhood development. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns. Maintain First Aid Certification and respond to emergencies as needed. Collaborate with staff to manage daily operations and support children's needs. Organise the daily school runs effectively To plan activities with all staff and deliver a play based learning program for all afterschool children. To ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed. To develop partnerships with both parents and children within your care.

Qualifications



We are looking for a bubbly, outgoing staff member who shows plenty of enthusiasm and can work and manage an afterschool club. Staff need to be fully qualified to level 3 or preferably level 4/5 in childcare Experience working with children in an older childcare or afterschool setting Strong background in early childhood education Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children and parents First Aid Certification to ensure child safety Leadership and management skills to oversee afterschool programs Valid driver's license for transportation needs Full child protection/ safeguarding certificate
Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
