Job Description
A wonderful family based in West Hampstead, London is looking for an After-school Nanny to assist them in looking after their school-aged child. The family is looking for a collaborative and understanding individual with experience in this age group, and knowledgeable of calming techniques for impulsive feelings. They require flexibility with the days and hours, and availability for some/most half-term weeks, which can be discussed separately. It would be ideal if the nanny is flexible to join them for 3 to 4 weeks per year when they travel to Europe.A valid first aid qualification is essential for this position.Working hours: Monday to Friday; Monday from 1:15 pm to 5:15 pm, Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and Friday is flexible but included in 15 hours per week in total.Duties include:
- collecting the child from school
- assisting with homework
- preparing snacks and pre-made dinners
- engaging in creative play at home or the playground
- helping with homework
- managing the child's impulsive feelings with patience and understanding
- hold space for the child's emotions
- tidying the child's room and common areas used by the child and parents
- providing a fun and relaxing environment for the child
- light laundry of child's clothes
- occasional grocery shopping
