Who you\'ll be supporting & more about the role:

We are looking for colleagues to work in a brand new, purpose-built supported living scheme in Worcester. You will be working alongside individuals with a range of support needs, including autism, learning disability, mental health needs, forensic backgrounds or a risk of offending. Some of the individuals may present with varying levels of behaviours that challenge and in some cases risky behaviours. You will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals to transition to their new homes.

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues. Always daring to be the best you can be, you will take responsibility for assessing the effectiveness of support provided and to contribute to multi-agency care and support planning.

You will be calm, consistent, unconditionally positive and committed to supporting people to live their best lives possible. You will have knowledge of using Positive Behavioural Support strategies to improve wellbeing and quality of life. You will be observant and attentive in order to develop a good understanding of individuals\' needs and preferences. You will be willing to take part in regular reflective practice sessions to ensure the best strategies are always utilised for the people supported.

Your values:

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism and forensic background. If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care.

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.
