We are recruiting for Support Workers to support 21 individuals who all live in their own flats in one large supported living home. There is a large, indoor shared space where the people we support enjoy spending time together, and a communal garden space that is used in the summer for barbecues and outdoor activities.

The people we support range in age from 21 to 74 and many have faced challenges in the past because of their mental health concerns, learning disabilities and Autism, but this hasn\'t stopped them from enjoying life! They enjoy lots of activities, including watching football, acting, singing, dancing, going to the gym, arts and crafts and spending time with friends and family. However, they\'re always up for trying new things, so are looking for inventive people who are up for the challenge.

Our support team are very diverse and work well together to ensure the people we support are happy and safe in their own homes. This can include:

• Supporting them with medication
• Cooking and cleaning
• Assisting with personal care

• Social support and getting out and about in their community

Our team provide support 24 hours a day, so we are looking for some flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including some weekends. We are looking for full-time and part-time Support Workers and, generally, our shift patterns are:

• 8am - 8pm
• 12 noon - 8pm

• 8pm to 8am (nights)

Your values:

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 in Social Care and strong experience in mental health, autism and sensory communication, and physical health.

If you do not have a qualification, you will need to have experience in social care.

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.

We will develop your talents with a range of specialist training, including the opportunity to learn Positive Behaviour Support methods, Makaton and the Picture Exchange System.

During recruitment you will meet the people we support in their home. This will allow you to see their wonderful personalities first-hand and fully understand the level of support that they require.
