Advanced Public Health Officer| 8031| Temporary contract until 1 June 2026 | 42,463 to 46,732 per annum (Scale K) | 37 hours per week | County Hall, Norwich



We are recruiting for a secondment opportunity for one year until June 2026 to work within the Norfolk County council public health team, to progress the vision of the integrated care system on addressing health inequalities as a system. Close working with the ICB is expected for this role.



The Advanced Public Health Officer role will appeal to applicants with a rich understanding of policy and action to improve people's health and wellbeing that are able to transfer their skills and knowledge to this exciting opportunity.



The postholder will deliver high quality programmes of work, including reports, projects and coordinating complex programmes, to contribute to the objectives of the team. They must have strong partnership working and communications skills.



We are looking for someone who can articulate what action can improve resident and community wellbeing and is able to outline the path that to ensure we and our partners can address issues and remove barriers.



You will be confident in working with people from across sectors, motivated and innovative, delivering presentations and project outcomes to senior officers, and working with community leaders and experts by experience to ensure that action is relevant and effective.



We invite applicants who have a strong background in delivering on population health, individual behaviour change, working with and for communities, and those who understand the wider determinants of health.



You will have a structured approach to achieving the vision of the team, and able to collaborate with others to get there. Clear sightedness and ability to manage and disseminate complex information to a broad audience, as well as turning strategy into action are key skills that are required or can be developed in this exciting role.
