JOB OPPORTUNITY \xe2\x80\x93 Advanced Homelessness Practitioner \xe2\x80\x93 Home Counties

One of my local authority clients based in the Home Counties are currently on the lookout for an Advanced Homelessness Practitioner to join their team.

You will be required to work X5 days in every 10 day period in office with their being scope for the remaining X5 days in every 10 day period to be worked remotely.

Contract: 3 Months + (likely to extend)
Rate: DOE
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 37

Housing Software: Civica

You will be expected to assist/deputise for the housing assessment and advice team leader with:

• Urgent complaint resolution and managing complex/sensitive casework (e.g MAPPA, MARAC, VARAC).
• Duty desk rota planning.
• Liaison with customer services to ensure smooth handovers into the service.
• Training, mentoring officers (including one to ones or casework supervision under the direction of the team leader).

You will also be expected to Support the housing assessment and advice officers with:

• All enquiries for assessment so they are thorough, timely and undertaken sensitively and professionally.
• All statutory homelessness decisions are sound and legally robust.
• Cost effective early intervention and prevention activities to be made in a timely manner.
• Personal Housing Plans to ensure they are meaningful bespoke documents and that all reasonable casework actions are undertaken to prevent and relieve homelessness (including Housing Register assessment, Supported Housing applications and loans to support into the private sector as appropriate as appropriate).

Successful candidates will have a vast amount of experience doing the above within a local authority setting as there will be an expectancy to hit the ground running.
