Adult Supported Placements

Our supported placements offer a variety of stimulating and interesting activities \xe2\x80\x98tailor made\xe2\x80\x99 to individual\'s interests, support needs and abilities working with adults with learning disabilities who may also have physical and/or mental health support needs. Individuals can choose to concentrate on one main area or \xe2\x80\x98pick and mix\xe2\x80\x99 between areas and activities. We offer activity sessions in gardening, cooking, drumming, woodwork / site maintenance, sport, arts and crafts, photography / digital art, recycling, small and large animal care. Placements also give the opportunity to develop social and personal skills, increased self-confidence, assertiveness, making choices, mixing with others, working cooperate, learning independent living skills and being safe and \xe2\x80\x98street smart\'. By working outside and doing physical work placements can also benefit and improve health and fitness, develop mobility and dexterity.

The role

We are looking for an experienced multi-talented support worker who could deliver Cooking, Arts and Crafts, Sports and Animals Care sessions \xe2\x80\x93 giving you a week where every day will be different, or two part time workers who can specialise in just animal care or crafts, cooking and sport. You would need to be comfortable around both farm and small animals (additional animal training will be given by our experienced staff), you will need to be physically fit as this is a hands-on role leading by example and happy to work outdoors in all weathers and be able to make our indoor sessions fun, enjoyable and rewarding.

The post/s will also involve working with members of the public who are visiting the site giving information about the farm and animals and keeping the site safe for all the visitors and service users.
