This exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Legal Services team at Sheffield City Council as an Adult Social Care Lawyer. The Adult Social Care team deal with the full range of adult social care law cases, including matters relating to the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Court of Protection.



The successful candidate will:


Be responsible for providing authoritative advice to the Councils Officers and Members, ensuring that decisions are lawful. Manage their own caseload, which will include complex and interesting areas of law.

For the role, you would need to have:


Recognised Legal qualification (Solicitor, Barrister or FCILEX) Understanding of legal case management systems and process knowledge Technical knowledge in the specialist area of Adult Social Care Law

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
