Adult Brokerage and DP Officer
\xc2\xa335,217 - \xc2\xa337,038 per annum

Brokerage and DP officer is a role in the Brokerage and DP team. You would be working mainly in one of the functions of the team - Direct payment set up or Brokerage.

You would be supporting residents either to set up direct payments or by brokering packages and placements. You would also have a role giving advice and guidance to practitioners, residents and providers. You will need to work well under pressure and be able to work some weekend day on a rota basis

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines

• Ability to work well with diverse stake holders - residents, providers, colleagues and other professionals

• Have good communications skills

• Have good IT skills

• Have good negotiation skills

• Experience of working in Brokerage and/or Direct Payment Set up would be desired

About Us:

The London Borough of Newham is located only 5 miles east of London. It is well positioned with access to all major networks in London and the south east. It is well connected by public transport with, bus, tube and DLR. When the Crossrail service opens it will call at Custom House close to our council offices and also Stratford station and from there to central London.
