Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Architect to join our London team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for turning innovative experience designs into powerful, scalable digital solutions that help our clients achieve their business goals.



As an AEM Architect, you will not only bring deep technical expertise but also a strategic vision, seeing how individual solutions fit into a broader digital ecosystem. You will work closely with stakeholders and collaborate with top-tier engineers to deliver seamless, impactful customer experiences.

The Role:

Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)-based solutions. Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technology solutions with strategic objectives. Architect scalable, high-performance AEM applications utilizing core technologies such as Apache Sling, OSGi (Apache Felix), and Java Content Repository (JCR). Build and optimize templates, components, workflows, and APIs within AEM. Integrate AEM with other enterprise systems, including Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions and Adobe Marketing Cloud products (Analytics, Target, Campaign, etc.). Mentor and guide development, QA, and UX teams to ensure best practices and architectural integrity are upheld. Support deployments across environments using DevOps practices and tools. Communicate effectively across globally distributed teams and work within Agile delivery frameworks. Create architecture documentation, technical diagrams, and integration designs using Visio or similar tools.

What you will bring:

Minimum of 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 4+ years focused on Adobe Experience Manager. Extensive experience with Java/J2EE development and large-scale CMS implementations. Deep understanding of AEM platform architecture, performance tuning, and best practices. Strong backend and web services development expertise. Proven ability to design and integrate AEM solutions with third-party systems and APIs. Experience working with Adobe Marketing Cloud suite is highly desirable. Hands-on knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies for application deployment and environment management. Ability to mentor teams, manage technical delivery, and influence stakeholders effectively. Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields. A strong background in enterprise-scale Web Content Management solutions. Adobe certifications in AEM or related Adobe Experience Cloud products are a plus. Strong problem-solving and technical analysis abilities.
