Due to our continued growth, we are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a legal administrative assistant to join our highly regarded, well-established niche firm based in Hoylake. We are seeking a determined and enthusiastic administrator who is eager to work within the field of mental health law.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service.

General role



To provide clerical duties, including audio typing, managing emails, filing, answering calls, typing letters and correspondence, managing diaries and appointments, and preparing forms and other documents as required. Additionally, effective communication with colleagues and clients is essential to facilitate smooth operations within the office.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience



Previous legal experience would be beneficial but not essential.

Experience within a previous administration position using a case management system is preferred.

Strong organisational and communication skills

Tact and resilience

A pleasant but assertive and confident manner.

Ability to work on own initiative whilst supporting a team

Thorough, pragmatic and excellent attention to detail.

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Competent in the use of information technology

Key tasks & responsibilities



Fast and accurate audio typing and accurate production of correspondence and documents using digital dictation.

Able to produce a high standard of work, often to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy with excellent attention to detail.

Photocopying, scanning, printing, filing and other general admin tasks

Maintaining careful checks that all deadlines are met

Ability to prioritise and cope with changing demands.
