Brainkind Neurological Centre York supports people with an acquired brain injury and complex needs such as cognitive, physical, and/or emotional difficulties, including physical and verbal aggression, impaired social functioning, and disinhibited behaviour.

Our highly skilled team offer compassionate and specialised person-centred care, in a safe and

modern environment. Our multidisciplinary team, led by psychiatrists and neuropsychologists, includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation support workers, nurses, speech and language therapists, social workers, and therapy assistants to deliver the very best in neurological care and rehabilitation.

Working collaboratively with external professionals, we ensure a holistic approach to rehabilitation and outcomes, with the people we support actively involved in reviewing their progress. We promote the involvement of families as an important part of the rehabilitation process during and after admission.

As a registered hospital, Brainkind York can work with people detained under the Mental Health Act or subject to the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).



MAIN PURPOSE



To assist in the carrying out of and providing of day-to-day administrative, financial and payroll procedures for the service/unit/department.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Collate emails received on a daily basis, prioritise according to urgency/importance and action to ensure deadlines are met and completed in a timely manner. May have cash/cheque handling responsibility for service/unit/department and ensuring that all records/banking duties are accurate, carried out timely and processed for month end reporting. May be required to undertake purchase ledger responsibilities and all associated duties as required. Service/department/unit systematic filing (electronic and/or manual) of necessary paperwork in an appropriate and timely manner. Assist in dealing with telephone calls as required, dealing with telephone enquiries in a professional manner, directing calls as appropriate and taking messages, as necessary. This may include reception duties as required. May be required to undertake any other reasonable administrative duties, including deputising for others, which fall within the role and/or to support smooth running of Brainkind service/unit/department as directed by line manager. Communicate effectively with staff at all levels, ensuring the efficient collation and distribution of information. May assist and support in the collection and submission of accurate data to Central Support Services/Functions within specified deadlines. May be required to support in the chasing debts in conjunction with Credit Controllers and/or central support service/functions.

About you:



Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically word, excel, outlook and internet use. RSA Stage II, Word Processing or NVQ 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent). Knowledge of management and appointment booking using manual and computerised systems. Experience of Creating and managing databases, graphs, spreadsheets, and tables Proven organisational skills. Experience of minute taking and accurate recording of meetings
