28 weeks per year - Hourly paid contract until July 2024
Salary: \xc2\xa310.60 per hour
Our diverse and hugely popular Personal and Professional Learning Department is seeking an organised, personable Evening Administrator to be the face of our evening class provision at our Thetford Centre. The department provides education and learning opportunities for adults and young people in a variety of different subjects.
As part of this role, you will provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external visitors during our evening activities.
Role Responsibilities
To take responsibility for the smooth running of all activities being undertaken in the centre during the evenings.
To undertake all administrative duties as required to support evening activity, and any other duties which may be required to support the daytime staff.
To provide a front-line customer service both face to face, in writing and on the telephone.
Monitor attendance of students on courses, supporting with registers, following up non-attendance and reporting to tutors and programme managers in a timely manner to support retention.
Supporting on-programme progress for online courses and those where students do not attend the centre.
Support administration duties required for exams.
Required qualifications, skills and experience
Good general education in English, Maths and ICT.
Experience of working in an administrative or office role preferred but not essential.
Experience of prioritising workloads in any environment.
Experience of dealing with a wide range of people in a professional manner.
Pleasant, courteous approach when dealing with members of the public.
An organised, methodical and flexible approach to work.
