Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and coordinate a variety of activities and events for residents.
- Develop and implement engaging programs that cater to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents
- Collaborate with staff, residents, and families to assess individual needs and preferences for activities
- Coordinate transportation and logistics for off-site outings and trips
- Maintain accurate records of activity participation and resident feedback
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines during activities
- Provide support and assistance to residents during activities as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a care home or assisted living facility
- Knowledge of senior care principles and practices, including dementia care
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff
- Ability to plan and organize multiple activities simultaneously
- Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine interest in the well-being of seniors
- Strong problem-solving skills to address any challenges that may arise during activities
We are currently engaged in a program called "Grow your own" the desired applicant will have interest in gardens / gardening and helping residents get outside to grow their own fruit and veg etc.
