Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accuracy Checking Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients. You will assist pharmacists in various tasks, including medication administration and patient care, while adhering to all regulatory guidelines and best practices within the pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information to ensure compliance with regulations. Manage stock levels, including ordering, stocking, and organising pharmaceutical supplies. Support the pharmacist in conducting health screenings and providing immunisations when required. Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy workspace to promote a safe environment for staff and patients.

Requirements

Previous experience as an ACT is preferred but not essential; training can be provided. Strong understanding of medication administration processes and patient care principles. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Must possess relevant qualifications or certifications as required by local regulations for Pharmacy Technicians.
