We currently have an opportunity for an Accounts Senior to provide accounting support to an established team. The ideal candidate will be someone who is really committed to everything they take on and has a real passion to move forward. Job purpose



Your main role will be to prepare the corporation tax computations and tax returns for clients and to ensure that these are filed on time and the client is fully informed as to the tax position and what payments are required and when. You will be preparing the returns on Tax DIgita software so previous experience with this software would be ideal but not essential as training will be provided.

In addition to your main duties, you will from time to time be involved in the preparation of both statutory and management accounts whilst offering guidance and support to junior members of staff.

Main duties & responsibilities



The successful candidate should have the following experience:

Preparation of Corporation Tax Returns; Preparation of Accounts for SMEs; Preparation of Monthly Management accounts; Preparation of VAT Returns and involved in MTD; Book-keeping experience - will be involved in overseeing junior members of the team undertaking book-keeping assignments; Working experience in Accounting software such as Xero and Sage; Assisting in overseeing and the training of Junior members of staff; Experience with handling multi-currency transactions; Deal with any ad hoc queries/work requested by clients; Assisting clients with queries on Accounts, and tax issues; Ability to meet tight deadlines.

Knowledge & experience required



A good understanding of accounting standards and various book-keeping packages. Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

The successful candidate should also have the following characteristics:

Good communication skills. Both written and verbal. Ability to work well with others. Ability to manage workload effectively and efficiently in order to meet filing deadlines and at the same time supervise junior members of staff.
The candidate will be ideally newly qualified or will have 1 to 2 years post qualified experience.
