The TaxAssist Accountants team in Plymouth are highly successful, working across two offices and serving the needs of around 600 clients.
We focus our accountancy skills specifically on business and individual taxpayers, specialising in providing the full scope of accountancy and tax services to our clients. We have established processes in place, along with access to excellent ongoing training and technical support in all aspects of the role.
Being a locally based team, but having the support of a large network behind us works fantastically well. Locally, we can get on with the business of helping our clients, safe in the knowledge that help when needed is just a phone call or email away from our support team at Head Office.

We are looking for an Accounts Senior to join our expanding accountancy practice located in Plymouth.
Role Responsibilities
- Building relationships with clients and being a first port of call for queries
- Preparing financial statements for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
-Preparation and review of Corporate and Personal Tax Returns
-Provision of client-focused support including client meetings
- Preparation and review of VAT returns
- Provide mentoring support to other team members
- Varied ad hoc projects and other duties building your experience and knowledge
- Delivering outstanding service to our customers!
Specifically, we require:
- Ideally, a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role in practice; OR a minimum of 5 years experience in industry with transferable experience
- Proficiency in cloud accounting software
- Minimum AAT Level 4 qualified or equivalent
