Job Description
Join our Accounts Receivable team based in Dumfries
Reporting directly to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the AR Assistant is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services.
Duties of this role
- Perform the day to day processing of accounts receivable transactions to ensure finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner
- Main Activities will be: - \xe2\x80\xa2
- Processing of customer remittances and posting cash to the ledgers
- Reviewing customer statements, identifying differences, liaising with customer contact to resolve queries and maintain the accounts in good order
- Credit control, following up on overdue balances
- Regularly liaising with other departments including Sales, Customer Service and Data Analysis In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
- Educated to minimum Standard Grade Level
- Experience of purchase or sales ledger duties, or relevant skills from previous clerical roles
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent communication skills & telephone manner
- The ability to work to deadlines
