About the role...

We're looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team at our Customer Support Centre in Walsall. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your accounts payable expertise into a specialist team dealing with property-related payments, including lease and service charge reconciliations. You'll join a supportive, down-to-earth finance team where collaboration and career development go hand in hand. Working in our Property Team, you'll gain specialist exposure to commercial lease payments, landlord liaison, and the financial operations of our extensive retail estate.

This position is Hybrid working from our Walsall head office 4 days per week following a successful probationary period of 3-months.

Your Impact and Responsibilities...

As an accounts payable clerk you'll be;

oProcessing and reconciling rent, rates, and service charge invoices

oVerifying lease obligations and ensuring timely payments in line with agreed terms

oLiaising with the Property, Estates, and Legal teams to resolve discrepancies or queries

oSupporting the management of a weekly BACs payment run specific to property payments

oInvestigating and resolving variances between invoices and lease terms

oCompleting monthly supplier statement reconciliations for landlords and managing any issues proactively

oMaintaining accurate records and supporting audit and reporting requirements

Skills and Knowledge...

To be successful you'll need;

oPrevious experience working in Accounts Payable, ideally within a property or lease-focused team

oUnderstanding of commercial lease payments, service charge reconciliations, and property finance practices

oProficient in Oracle systems or similar ERP software

oStrong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs

oProven ability to manage high volumes of transactions accurately and within tight deadlines

oTo be Flexible and adaptable to change within a fast-moving environment

oTo be a Team player with the ability to work independently when needed
