The Accounts Payable Assistant, under the guidance of the Finance Operations Manager, will assist with the various tasks within the Finance department. The main area of responsibility will include ensuring that day-to-day financial transactions are recorded and processed accurately in adherence with existing University policy and procedures.
The role holder will work with the Head of Financial Accounting, Accounts Receivable and, Accounts Payable, FP&A teams and various stakeholders in the College.
The Finance Assistant is a member of a small team and, whilst the role will be managed by, and work directly to, the Finance Operations Manager, emphasis is placed on teamwork and it is expected that the postholder will work flexibly and proactively to assist colleagues according to the demands of fluctuating workloads.
The work is fast paced and high in volume and it is essential that the post holder has the ability to manage their own workload. The post holder will also liaise with a wide range of people, both across the College and externally, and it is essential that they possess good interpersonal and diplomatic skills to represent the College in a professional and courteous manner. The successful candidate will be a customer-focused individual capable of working with all levels of people, and organisations.
