The Opportunity



We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead our financial operations. This is a hands-on role ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in an SME environment and is confident managing the full finance function--from transactional tasks to strategic financial reporting.

Responsibilities



Oversee all day-to-day accounting activities with accuracy and efficiency. Manage financial and management accounting processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets. Reconcile all bank accounts and maintain the Fixed Asset Register. Submit quarterly VAT returns in full compliance with HMRC guidelines. Drive and manage cash flow forecasting and monitoring. Lead and refine the credit control process to improve cash collection cycles. Liaise with customers and suppliers via phone and in person. Develop and implement improvements in reporting systems and internal procedures. Maintain organised, efficient financial records--both digital and paper-based. Contribute to broader business functions as needed with ad hoc tasks and insights

Experience



AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or qualified by experience). Proven experience managing a finance function in a small to mid-sized company (SME). Proficiency in Sage Line 50 is essential. Strong IT skills with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience in the hire industry is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.

Pay: From 40,560.00 per year
