are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Finance Manager/Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of the franchise motor dealership. This key leadership role involves managing the dealership's financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimising financial processes, and contributing to the dealership's overall strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
o Lead and manage the dealership's finance and administration team. o Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts, and year-end financial statements. o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales, gross margin, departmental profitability, and overhead control. o Work closely with the Sales and Aftersales teams to optimise financial performance across all departments. o Manage stock funding and cash flow to ensure optimal working capital usage. o Prepare detailed budget variance analyses, and financial reports for senior management and brand partners. o Ensure compliance with all manufacturer financial reporting requirements. o Liaise with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions. o Identify risks and implement robust internal controls. o Support vehicle financing, insurance product sales, and compliance with FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
ACA, ACCA, CIMA part qualified (or equivalent) - or substantial relevant dealership experience.
Previous experience in a motor dealership or retail automotive finance role is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of dealership operations across New, Used, and Aftersales.
Highly Proficient with IT including an excellent working knowledge of Excelo Proficient with dealership management systems desirable.
Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines.
Knowledge of FCA regulations and motor finance products.
