Job Description


As an Accounts Clerk your duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Maintains accounting records by making copies; filing documents.
  • Entering invoices/credits to the purchase ledger, reconciling statements and price checking
  • Checking and entering daily cash takings and investigating any discrepancies.
  • Maintaining sales ledger, including new accounts and credit control.
  • Weekly bank reconciliation
  • Assist in the end of month procedures up to trial balance within a specified time frame, including journals and detailed file management.
  • Procurement.
  • Maintaining and processing the payroll, including starter packs, holidays, new employees, leavers and the full payroll run using sage payroll.
  • Any other duties as required.
  • 24 hours per week

  • Committed with previous experience of working within a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work with individuals across all departments and liaise with external customers and contacts
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good time-management skill, ensuring prioritisation of tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Able to show initiative and make decisions
  • Professional attitude - articulate, organised and customer focused
  • Intermediate experience of Excel, Word & Outlook, Sage 50 Accounts & Payroll, with an aptitude for numbers
