We are on the lookout for ambitious, dedicated, and problem-solving professionals to join our finance team located in Leeds City Centre. Currently we are seeking an Accounts Clerk who is ready to kickstart their career. Role Overview: The role of Accounts Clerk is pivotal in supporting the Finance Manager and team in the administration, organisation, and execution of financial, billing, and operational tasks. This position involves taking on projects as directed by the manager, ensuring seamless resolution of queries, and contributing to the overall efficiency of financial processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Billing Compliance: Verify the accuracy of invoices against charges, ensuring proper input into the system as per the billing sheets provided by the manager.
  • Supplier Invoice Auditing: Scrutinise and confirm the correctness of supplier charges, inputting them into NetSuite for precise record-keeping.
  • Invoicing: Enter charges, costs, and sell rates into NetSuite, maintaining accuracy and consistency.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Finance Inbox Management: Monitor the finance inbox, promptly responding to queries and facilitating effective communication within the team.
  • Updating Cash Flow Forecasts: Update and maintain cash flow forecasts, contributing to accurate financial planning.
  • Aged Creditors/AP Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations at month-end for aged creditors/accounts payable, ensuring financial accuracy.
  • Sales and COS Input: Assist with the daily input of Sales and Cost of Sales (COS) for one of the subsidiaries, reconciling them back to the bank statement.
Requirements for the Role:
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in Excel with a solid understanding of computer systems. Knowledge of NetSuite is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Adaptability: Ability to follow instructions meticulously, work effectively both independently and collaboratively, and demonstrate dedication to achieving exceptional results in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Training and Experience: Capability to apply training experiences to various scenarios, showcasing an eye for detail.
  • Experience: 1 year of accounting experience is preferred, demonstrating a foundational understanding of accounting principles.
