Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in a newly created role.

Responsibilities



Preparation of weekly timesheets; process weekly payroll journal

Non stock purchase ledger (processing invoices, statement reconciliations)

Coding & processing credit card statements and petty cash

Preparing payment runs and obtain necessary authorisations

Create new profiles for suppliers and maintain existing ones

Holiday/ sick cover for processing agency timesheets

Sales ledger (processing sales invoices, credit notes)

Credit control (send out statements to customers, chase overdue payments)

Handling account queries and resolving them promptly

Manage accounts email inbox

Saving/ scanning of delivery notes

Work alongside the Financial Controller on ad-hoc duties as required

Experience



Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred. Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles is essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various stakeholders within the organisation.
Hours of work are Monday - Thursday 08:00-17:00 and Friday 08:00-12:00

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 27,000.00-29,000.00 per year
