European Financial Shared Services (EFSS) is a shared services centre that performs duties on behalf of Raytheon Technologies sites located Europe. Among other things, EFSS manages end-to-end transactional processes such as Accounts Payable and Receivable. We are also responsible for maintaining a secure environment which promotes compliance with control procedures.

Brief Description of Key Job Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 Ensure all required postings are done timely and accurately;

\xc2\xb7 Validate the accuracy of postings via embedded controls within the entire process;

\xc2\xb7 Maintain accurate and complete ledgers;

\xc2\xb7 Assist with the preparation and monitoring of payable and receivable ledgers

\xc2\xb7 Monitor aged items and resolve in a timely manner;

\xc2\xb7 Forecast and manage cash surplus/deficit\xe2\x80\x99s in varying currencies on a monthly basis;

\xc2\xb7 Proactively participate in the preparation of the month end accounts within agreed timescales including accruals, prepayments, FX analysis, variance analysis and supporting commentary;

\xc2\xb7 Perform all the required controls and verifications as part of the month-end closing process;

\xc2\xb7 Take responsibility for intercompany reconciliations and work with accounting contacts to resolve relationships which are out of balance;

\xc2\xb7 Complete the HFM load for all companies required in EFSS including supplemental information. Ensure data is accurate and complete to avoid unnecessary late adjustments;

\xc2\xb7 Complete monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts by substantiating the reported monthly balances;

\xc2\xb7 Monthly and Quarterly P&L and Balance Sheet analysis with commentary to enable effective communication across EFSS and WHQ;

\xc2\xb7 Work with professional service firms to complete accurate tax submissions on an annual basis

\xc2\xb7 Forecast company profit from a tax perspective so that the wider business may calculate correct payments on account to HMRC;

\xc2\xb7 Achieve the KPIs levels committed in the SLAs with the sites;

\xc2\xb7 Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure all non-value added activities are eliminated to enable process optimization;

\xc2\xb7 Assist with strengthening the internal controls environment within EFSS to ensure full compliance to the UTC internal control framework; and

\xc2\xb7 Support EFSS growth and new sites integration; Corporate entities, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset activities etc.

\xc2\xb7 Work with internal stakeholders to achieve common goals

Requirements:

Recognised Accountancy Qualification in progress (Prior experience in the field is an advantage)

Effective organizational skills to ensure key deliverables are produced accurately and in time

Proactive approach to work is critical in this role

Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative is essential

Experience with SAP would be an advantage
