Job Overview: Bookkeeper with additional responsibilities for maintaining the tax spreadsheets
Responsibilities and Duties
Accounting software experience is required for Sage, Xero or Quickbooks
Compile clients bookkeeping onto spreadsheet/software
Check bookkeeping provided by the client for errors
Transfer data from bookkeeping onto iris
Complete client tax returns
Contact clients if necessary for information required
Update appointments
Complete and check mileage logs
Register clients for VAT
Miscellaneous adhoc work, eg mortgage forms
Electronically file abridged accounts and corporation tax
Maintain the vat, Corporation tax, self-assessment and task list spreadsheets
Check over junior staff work, any issue raise with the accounts manager
Liaise with HMRC
Ensure all new clients vats are set up or transferred over as needed
Maintain the vat deadlines spreadsheet and the new clients vat pending sheet
General accounts admin tasks
Complete a "Work Done" email daily and send to line manager
Ensure all emails are checked and responded to within 24 hours
Ensure all telephone messages are responded to within 24 hours
Any other duties deemed necessary
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 24,000.00-27,000.00 per year
