Apprentice Accounts Assistant

Birmingham.



Hours of work are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour's lunch.

This role will suit a recent school or college leaver looking to start their career in a finance role.

Role and Responsibilities:



Assist in managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and data entry Prepare financial reports, invoices, and statements Support senior accountants with budgeting, forecasting, and analysis Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial processes Assist in reconciling bank statements and resolving any discrepancies

The ideal candidate will:



Strong numerical and analytical skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organisational and time management abilities Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
