Accounting Technician - Full time or Part Time - Keswick Office
We are looking for a full time or part time Accounting Technician with excellent customer service skills and experience of supporting all activities that facilitate the smooth day to day running of a busy
The successful candidate will be joining a family run business, who are a multi award-winning firm of Chartered Accountants, tax and business advisors in Cumbria and Lancashire, led by the same senior management team and partners for the last 25 years, supported by a hard-working high performing team.
This role offers a great opportunity to work with the team. The role of an Accounting Technician is to maintain financial records, prepare VAT returns and Financial Accounts
Duties
General office duties
Recording financial transactions
Handling accounts payable and receivable
Appropriately coding invoices for Xero, QuickBooks and SAGE software packages
Recording cash receipts and handling bank deposits
Maintaining petty cash
Providing administrative and clerical support as needed
Additional bookkeeping duties as designated by management
Preparing Income and Expenditure Statements
Preparing profit and loss statements and balance sheets
Filing historical records and retrieving necessary documents as needed for others
Skills & Abilities
Effective communication skills, written and verbal
Good customer care skills
Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
Able to work in an organised manner to strict deadlines - planning, diary management, department systems set up and maintenance
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask and priorities
