As our first Accounting Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in building BeOne's accounting infrastructure and processes. This is a hands-on, high-impact position for someone both strategic and execution-driven. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take full ownership of accounting operations and financial reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

Set up & framework

+ Design and implement scalable accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls tailored for EMI and digital banking operations. + Establish financial processes that align with regulatory, tax, and operational requirements.
+ Review and enhance tax structuring and transfer pricing models to optimize efficiency and compliance.
+ Lead the setup and integration of financial tools to automate workflows (e.g., AP, expense management, bookkeeping).

Execution & oversight

Manage and supervise end-to-end accounting operations including bookkeeping, reconciliations, monthly closings, and audit preparation. Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all general ledger entries and financial statements. Oversee statutory obligations including payroll, VAT, CIT, and other regulatory filings, collaborating with local providers. Partner with product and engineering to embed accounting workflows into our platform infrastructure.

Team & collaboration

Build and lead an accounting team as we scale. Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders to support audits and compliance reviews. Act as a key partner across product, operations, compliance, and finance to drive strategic decisions.

What we expect from you

7+ years of experience in accounting, ideally within fintech, EMI, or digital banking environments. Qualified accountant with strong IFRS knowledge. Proven ability to define and implement accounting systems from scratch. Experience with accounting system implementations and cross-functional financial projects. Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Self-starter mindset with a drive to build and improve processes.

Familiarity with NetSuite (our future accounting system). Based in Latvia or knowledgeable about local financial regulations.
