Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services and demonstrate proficiency in various accounting software. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing valuable insights to support our financial management strategies.

Responsibilities



Preparing accurate financial statements for individuals, sole traders, and businesses, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements. Ensuring clients comply with all tax regulations by preparing and submitting tax returns (corporation tax, income tax, VAT, etc.) and providing tax planning advice to minimize liabilities. Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions and ensuring they comply with accounting standards and regulations. Managing VAT returns for clients, ensuring compliance with VAT rules and regulations, and advising on VAT-related matters. Overseeing payroll processes, including calculating employee salaries, deductions, and ensuring timely submission of PAYE and National Insurance contributions. Preparing monthly or quarterly management accounts to help clients monitor their business performance and make informed decisions. Providing clients with financial advice, including strategies for improving cash flow, reducing tax liabilities, and growing their business. Acting as a trusted advisor to support clients' long-term financial goals. Staying up-to-date with the latest accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations, and ensuring clients are fully compliant. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. Maintaining and improving knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry trends by participating in professional development activities. Responsibly complete all the other tasks assigned by the manager

What we're looking for:



You might be an experienced Semi Senior Accountant, a developing Accounts Assistant ready for a step up, or a steady Senior Accountant looking for a more personal working environment. Either way, you should bring:

At least 3 years' experience working in accountancy practice Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and tax ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent degree is preferred. Proficiency in Xero accounting software. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work independently and proactively with clients. Candidate must demonstrate fluency in an Asian language relevant to our client base A confident, personable manner and a positive, proactive approach Great time management and attention to detail
