Hybrid - Leeds x2 a week in the office Team: Reporting into the Finance Director for Spiers New Technologies (SNT) Europe this role will be based in the UK, supporting the business in the UK and the Netherlands. SNT was acquired by Cox Automotive in 2021 and this role is an exciting opportunity to join a company working in a new & evolving market \xe2\x80\x93 EV Battery Services. As SNT is in the start-up phase of its lifecycle this role is an excellent opportunity for someone to get involved in all aspects of finance and accounting and make a real difference to the business. The successful candidate will work closely with both the on-site teams and the wider International and US Finance teams to prepare and provide accurate financial information as well as broader support to the business as required. Scope of the role:

• End to end financial processing including purchase ledger, invoicing & credit control
• Month end preparation including accruals & prepayments, bank & cash management and ownership of the balance sheet
• Asset management including fixed asset capitalisation and depreciation
• Liaison with wider finance teams to ensure accurate processing and reporting
• Processing of employee amendments and payroll for the Netherlands operations
• Accurate reporting of the financial performance monthly including variance analysis to budget & forecast
• Involvement in the monthly forecasting process
• Management accounts preparation

Objectives of the role

• Accurate processing of financial transactions on a timely basis
• Implementation of controls to ensure financial accuracy & integrity
• Delivery of accurate monthly financial accounts/reporting within the required deadlines
• Support in financial reporting requirements

Skills / Experience:

• Understanding of accounting principles
• Strong I.T skills (particularly MS Excel)
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Time management capability
