Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial accounting and be proficient in various accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff members. The Accountant will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing valuable insights into financial performance.

Responsibilities



Liaising with clients face to face, via phone and email Preparation of sole trade, Partnership and Rental accounts Preparation of LTD Company accounts and corporation tax returns Preparation and submission of personal tax computations and returns Completing relevant registrations with HMRC Client meetings to review tax savings Initial client meetings with prospective clients Support & train junior staff as necessary Ad hoc work as required to facilitate operations when required. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with applicable standards.

Requirements



Proven experience in financial accounting within the financial services sector. Proficiency in accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage is essential. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial management principles. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work. Ability to mentor junior team members effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey financial information clearly. A degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
