We have a fantastic opportunity to join the High Street Strategic Account Team at UK Greetings. This is a great opportunity for somebody that would like a career within a Commercial role!
This role involves working as an integral part of the team and will have input into identifying opportunities and developing and implementing Product and Category Strategies in order to drive productivity and profitability.
Working closely with the SAM Director, key responsibilities will include input into the creation and execution of strategic plans to leverage key consumer, category, and shopper insights. You will directly input into the P&L (profit and loss), and have a full understanding of end-to-end decisions and the contributions they are making. The role will also require a high level of administrative support in the day to day internal and external process of a retail account contract including all aspects of operations and merchandising.
Key activities and responsibilities include:
Working directly with SAM Team Director to develop and monitor key operational and retail metrics that will assist in driving profitable sales for UKG and the customer.
Understand and input into setting annual sales targets, creating forecasts and profit contribution models while working with the SAD (Strategic Account Director) and other internal contacts where appropriate.
Input into Everyday & Seasonal Customer Inventory Project Management.
Manage the Customer cost price file.
Manage monthly accruals with finance.
Monitor individual store performance and investigate variances in Sales & Availability.
Monitor 3rd Party Logistics invoicing.
Working with the Supply Chain Analyst, Inventory, Customer & Product Manager and the customer to minimise obsolescence and seasonal returns.
Process and check all Everyday & Seasonal returns for approval by SAM Team Director
Develop a positive relationship with the customer and support the SAM Team Director with day-to-day contact
Work with the Supply Chain Analyst, Merchant planner & Inventory to understand all processes and their impact on retail execution
Skills and Experience:
At least 3 years commercial experience across Sales / Retail / Buying / Merchandising / Product Management / Category Management as an in-depth knowledge of the competitive marketplace, consumer and product.
Excellent analysis skills.
Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and the ability to proactively lead and manage multiple projects, working to deadlines and prioritising in a fast-paced environment.
A positive attitude and dynamism to proactively solve problems using your own initiative.
The skills to communicate with a range of internal stakeholders including Director Level.
The ability to present internally and externally to customers confidently and clearly, driving impact and inspiring action. This is essential as this is a customer facing role.
This role is Head Office based with the flexibility to work from home if required. Travel to stores and head office will be required.
