BARTS HEALTH NHS TRUSTFellow in Resuscitation Medicine (ST2, ST3, and ST3-6)This post is a 2 year rotation through emergency and critical care medicine, including a funded MSc in Emergency and Resuscitation MedicineBarts Health NHS Trust and QMULJob Reference No:We are seeking enthusiastic, full time clinical Fellow posts in Resuscitation medicine at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is a unique opportunity to join the UK's largest trust, trauma centre and heart attack centre, and home of London's Air Ambulance. The posts are for two years and include six month placements in the Emergency Departments at Royal London Hospital, Newham University Hospital and Whipps Cross University Hospital; and six months in critical care at Whipps Cross or Newham University Hospital (including intensive care, high dependency care and anaesthesia). Applicants should have at least two years medical post-graduate training, including 12 months Emergency Medicine or 6 months emergency medicine and 6 months in any of acute medicine, anaesthesia or critical care. It is anticipated most applicants will have more experience than this, and this would be regarded as an advantage in the application.Main duties of the job

  • Clinical work in the ED, CDU and ICU/HDU/Anaesthesia compatible with level of experience and training; but including being a middle grade or senior clinician in the ED/HDU for night shifts (consultant cover on call 2200-0800)
  • The post holder will join the emergency medicine and critical care middle grade rosters with a proportion of evening, weekend and night work
  • Administrative work such as review and follow up of abnormal results
  • Assessment, treatment and referral or discharge of patients attending the emergency department, training and supervision of more junior doctors
