Job Description

Neat Vehicles is a well-established Nottinghamshire based manufacturer of specialist vehicles, trailers and containers for various sectors both in the UK and abroad.

Due to ever increasing workloads an exciting opportunity has arisen for a new addition to our design team.

The position is offered on a permanent basis, in return we offer a good working environment with regular on-site working hours over a 4 day week, Monday to Thursday, giving the right candidate the chance to experience a varied and rewarding position working on bespoke projects.

The successful candidate will take the innovative design concepts and turn them into 2D and 3D engineering drawings for manufacture in the workshop.

The positions main areas of responsibility would include:

Client Liaison.

Design development.

Production of client and workshop drawings.

Working closely with the design and production teams to ensure the work is being produced as intended.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

A good understanding and experience of Solidworks or similar parametric CAD systems.

Experience with Autocad LT or similar 2D drawing packages.

A good grasp of different materials and manufacturing processes.

A basic understanding on mechanical and structural engineering.

Ability to prioritise and schedule work.

Able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.

The starting salary is between 28,000 and 35,000 per annum dependent on the candidates abilities and experience.

However there is an excellent opportunity for salary progression for a candidate who can prove they have all the relevant experience and abilities.
