Job Description

Hillhouse Group is a family-owned business operating throughout Scotland. The company is a major supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mix concrete, concrete products and road surfacing and civil engineering services to the construction industry and civil engineering sectors.

Due to retirement, we are seeking a qualified Excavator operative to operate our Cat 395 digger at our Troon Quarry. Experience of working on quarry faces is essential.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Operating a Cat 395 excavator. Working the quarry faces safely from a formed bench. Loading ridged dump trucks as part of our production team running to our primary crusher. Carry out daily pre-start checks. Proactively manage truck condition through defect reporting and personal maintenance. Carrying out visual face inspections; reporting any defects to management.

Skills and Qualifications

MPQC blue excavator ticket NVQ in plant operations Full experience is needed. Geotech qualification would be an advantage.

Hours of Work

6.45 am - 5 pm : Monday - Thursday 6.45 am - 4 pm : Friday Weekends/ overtime as and when required.
