As an intern in our Talent line of business, you will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of the employee experience. Our consultants provide expertise to clients in change management, organisational effectiveness, and communication to drive employee engagement and help align behaviour with business results. They also use marketing techniques to support long-lasting behaviour change and transformation. Our teams work with clients to ensure that the organisation has a robust pipeline of future leaders and people with critical skills and experience to drive business success. We design and implement programmes like competency models to ensure people have the right skills for their roles, as well as career development programmes, performance management processes and workforce analytics and planning.

The Role

Our 8-week Intern Programme is designed for penultimate year students.

An Internship at WTW will give you valuable real-world experience while you are still a student. It will enable you to apply your education in an environment that is both intellectually challenging and rewarding. At the end of your time with us, you will have a greater understanding of what we do and how closely our career offerings match your career ambitions.

You will be treated in the same way as our new graduates, receiving the same quality and quantity of work. It is the perfect opportunity to understand what you could expect if you joined our graduate programme the following year.

You will work as part of a team on a wide variety of complex projects. You will serve as a key resource for the consultant in charge of each of your engagements by performing many intricate aspects of the client work. As you grow and gain more expertise, you will become a key contact for the client. You will work alongside some of the industry\xe2\x80\x99s top consultants on cross-industry client projects, including many household names: FTSE 100 and 250 clients, privately held companies and public service organisations.

You will have immediate exposure to real client assignments which will draw on your imagination and creativity, as well as your ability to analyse data, draw conclusions and present results. These experiences will help build your technical knowledge and overall industry expertise while you benefit from more structured learning interventions.

Qualifications and Training

We have a focussed 12-month training programme for graduates joining EX, which is called FAST START. FAST START is designed to give our graduates an insight into our business, and help them develop the consulting, practical and technical skills they need to succeed at WTW. While you are on your internship, you will be invited to attend any relevant sessions.

We continue to invest in our people, and you will have regular opportunities for training throughout your career with us \xe2\x80\x93 both on the job and through more formal classroom sessions. Consultants are not required to have a particular qualification; therefore, the wide variety of external qualifications we do support are determined by the needs of the business and the individual\xe2\x80\x99s interests.

Stage 3: Virtual Assessment centre \xe2\x80\x93 this is an opportunity for you to meet with members of the team and for the team to understand your strengths, preferences and motivations. The assessment will take place virtually, and there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions.

Stage 4: Offer and office visit \xe2\x80\x93 you will be invited to your local office and meet some of your future colleagues.

Stage 5: On-boarding

The UK Intern Programme will be 8 weeks beginning July through to August 2024
