Summary
The role encompasses a wide range of tasks which will vary according to the activity of the Corporate & Leveraged Finance group (\xe2\x80\x9cCLF\xe2\x80\x9d). It is expected the role will involve a significant level of work on new/live transactions, both leveraged loans and high yield bonds, for financial sponsor backed and corporate clients across sectors (including TMT) in Europe. The role will also include assisting senior staff on the management of the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the team in the preparation of marketing materials and pitches to both financial sponsors and corporate clients.
Conduct analysis of markets (business / sector / transactional / pricing comparable) and credit analysis of potential issuers.
Assist the team in the execution of corporate and leveraged finance transactions; whether that be a leveraged loan or high yield bond, across all sectors (such as TMT, healthcare, consumer retail, industrials\xe2\x80\xa6).
Assist the team in the monitoring of portfolio company trading / developments.
Generally, it is expected that the role will include:
\xc2\xb7 Review of Information Memoranda / business plans / due diligence / publicly available information
\xc2\xb7 Drafting new business committee submissions and credit applications
\xc2\xb7 Review confidentiality agreements alongside Legal
\xc2\xb7 Financial modelling of transactions
\xc2\xb7 KYC - process new client on-boarding
The role will require the individual to work across CLF, as well as individuals in other teams within the bank, such as: the syndicate desk, ratings advisory, the ESG team, coverage (financial sponsors and corporate), internal legal, and various back office functions, amongst others.
Assistance to senior management in all other areas of the business as required.
Precise split of time will be determined on an ongoing basis dependent on business requirements at the time.
Management and reporting
Primarily working alongside the junior members of the team, and reporting to senior members of the team daily.
Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities
Ensure adherence with regard to internal Credit Agricole CIB compliance guidelines and governing agency rules and regulations
